Firestore admin GUI for developers
Browse and edit Firestore data without the console
Firewatch is a fast Firestore viewer and editor: filter any collection, edit documents without losing types, and import or export JSON. Your data goes straight from Google to your browser.
No sign-in needed for the demo. Free for one project.
Everything the Firebase console makes hard
The console is fine for a quick look. Firewatch is built for working with your data every day.
Firestore data browser
Every collection in a fast, sortable table with accurate document counts and cursor pagination that handles large collections.
Filter and query
Filter by any field with ==, !=, ranges, starts-with, and array-contains. Missing index? You get the one-click link to create it.
Safe document editing
Create and edit documents as JSON without losing timestamps, references, geopoints, or 64-bit integers. Removed fields are really removed.
Undo deletes
Delete one document or a selection, with confirmation and a one-click undo. Edits never silently overwrite someone else's changes.
Import and export JSON
Export a whole collection to a lossless JSON file and import it into another project or database. Existing documents are skipped by default.
Read-only mode
Flip one switch to hide every write action when you only need to look, for example when browsing production.

Your data never touches our servers
- Your browser talks to the Firestore API directly with your own short-lived Google token.
- Firewatch can only do what your Google account can already do in the Firebase console, nothing more.
- No service-account keys to create, upload, or leak. No changes to your security rules.
- We store only your profile and which projects you connected. Details in our privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
What is Firewatch?
Firewatch is a web-based Firestore admin GUI. It lets developers browse, filter, and edit Cloud Firestore data, and import or export collections as JSON, across all the Firebase projects their Google account can access.
Does my Firestore data pass through Firewatch servers?
No. Your browser calls Google's Firestore API directly with your own Google access token. Firewatch stores only your profile and the list of projects you connected, never your Firestore data or your token.
What permissions does Firewatch need?
Read-only access to list your Firebase projects, and Cloud Firestore access to read and write data when you ask it to. What you can actually see or change is limited by your own IAM role on each project, exactly like the Firebase console.
Do I need a service account or to change my security rules?
No. There are no keys to create or upload, and Firestore security rules don't need to change: they apply to your app's end users, while Firewatch acts as you, a project member.
Is Firewatch free?
Yes. The free plan includes one connected project with the full browser, editor, and import/export. Pro ($9/month) adds unlimited projects.
